James Sneed is a Texas businessman in the truest sense of the word. Born and raised in the Great State of Texas, James started his first business here in Mesquite over 20 years ago. After succeeding with a leak detection business and watching it grow and thrive, he branched out into a plumbing business and continued to serve the Metroplex area. As he and his employees satisfied the area’s customer base, it became well known that James relies heavily on the concept of serving his customers just like they are part of his family.

With the experience of serving the DFW area so successfully behind him, James decided it was time to branch out into a business that combined his love for hunting, the outdoors and shooting sports. That’s why in 2001, James opened the Gun Zone, a full service gun store. If you have had the pleasure of stopping by his store, you surely got the idea that James loves what he does and cares deeply about his customers. After spending 9 years selling guns, James sought a bigger venue to reach the public. Naturally the next step was to begin promoting gun shows, James opened Lone Star Gun Shows with shows in Ft. Worth, Tyler and Belton.
